UPDATED JULY 22, 2022/(SMETHPORT, Pennsylvania): On Friday, July 22, 2022, 41 more charges were filed against the Bradford man charged by the Pennsylvania State Police-Lewis Run. Darvin Carpenter was originally charged with more than 200 counts by criminal complaint filed by Trooper Eric Thompson. On July 20, 2022, additional charges were filed including Aggravated Indecent Assault and Indecent Exposure. By amendment filed by District Attorney Stephanie L. Vettenburg-Shaffer on July 22, 2022, 41 more charges were filed against Carpenter.
According to this amendment, Carpenter is now accused of providing alcohol and marijuana to a 7th female who was between the ages of 14 and 16 between the years 2015 and 2017 and forced the juvenile to kiss him, touched her genitals, and forced her to touch his genitals over his clothing.
Carpenter was originally charged on July 14, 2022 with more than 200 crimes occurring over several years including Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, and Aggravated Indecent Assault on a Child against 5 juveniles.
On July 20, 2022, 10 additional charges were filed including Criminal Solicitation to Commit Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse on a Child under 16, Aggravated Indecent Assault on victim under 16, and providing Marijuana but not for Sale against a 6th juvenile.
The 41 charges added today, July 22nd , include Corruption of Minors, 30 counts of Indecent Assault, and 10 counts of providing Marijuana but not for Sale against a 7th juvenile.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Carpenter was arraigned and his bail was set by the Court at $5 million. He is scheduled for central court on July 28.

(SMETHPORT, Pennsylvania): Additional charges have been filed against the Bradford man held on $5 million bond for sexual offenses. Darvin Carpenter, of Bradford, was charged by Trooper Eric Thompson of the Pennsylvania State Police-Lewis Run with more than 200 counts including Rape of a Child and other charges from 2000 to 2022. Carpenter was arraigned and bail was set by the magisterial district judge at $5 million. District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that, on June 20, 2022, additional charges were added to the complaint whereby Trooper Thompson charged the following: Solicitation To Commit Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse on a Child under 16, Aggravated Assault on a Child under 16, Aggravated Indecent Assault Without Consent, Aggravated Indecent Assault By Forcible Compulsion, Corruption Of Minors, Indecent Assault By Forcible Compulsion, Indecent Exposure, Indecent Assault On A Child under 16, Indecent Assault Without Consent, And Distribution of Marijuana But Not For Sale. A central court hearing was scheduled for July 21 but was continued to July 28, 2022. The investigation remains open and additional charges are pending.
