Jury Trial June 21 - June 24, 2021
Following a three day jury trial beginning June 21, 2021 at the McKean County Courthouse, Christopher Link was convicted in a consolidated trial for crimes that occurred in the City of Bradford and Foster Township. Link was convicted of Aggravated Assault (causing serious bodily injury); Simple Assault; Recklessly Endangering Another Person; and Flight to Avoid Apprehension. The crimes related to Assault occurred within the City of Bradford and were investigated by Chief Michael Ward. Following Chief Ward’s charges, Officers with Foster Township Police attempted to locate the defendant and, after his apprehension at a Foster Township residence, he was charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension by Officer Shaun McDonald. He was found not guilty of additional counts of assault and other crimes. District Attorney Stephanie L. Vettenburg-Shaffer prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
Link was sentenced by Judge John H. Pavlock to 12 years to 24 years in State Corrections.
