Appeal of CW v. Kelsey
District Attorney Stephanie L. Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that, by Order dated May 18, 2021, the Pennsylvania Superior Court has affirmed the conviction of David Kelsey of Bradford. Kelsey appealed his conviction following a two-day jury trial that concluded on September 17, 2019, at the McKean County Courthouse where he was convicted of Delivering a Controlled Substance (Felony) and Criminal Use of a Communicate Device (Felony 3). Kelsey was charged by McKean County Drug Task Force Detective Michael Ward following his investigation into the unlawful delivery of a Schedule II narcotic in Bradford on January 17, 2018. McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth. Kelsey was sentenced to a term of 4 years to 8 years in State Corrections.
