April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and is designated to raise awareness about child abuse and prevention and to reinforce our community’s pledge to work together for the sake of children.
District Attorney Stephanie L. Vettenburg-Shaffer: "Every day of every month is critical in Child Abuse Prevention but, on this first day of April, the District Attorney’s Office recognizes Child Abuse Prevention Month, reinforces its pledge on behalf of local law enforcement, and expresses gratitude for the individuals who work every day for the sake of victims of child abuse."
