(BRADFORD, Pennsylvania):  The K9 Unit of the County Detective Bureau announces its “Support the Nose” Campaign.  The campaign is the latest step in the District Attorney’s “Say No to Drugs” campaign geared toward children to encourage them to remain drug free.  As part of its community education goal, District Attorney Shaffer and the K9 Unit will attend area events and school programs to talk to children about the dangers of drugs and to ask them to sign a pledge to “Support the Nose” and stay away from drugs.  Pledge cards contain the photos of the K9 Unit’s two drug-detecting dogs, LG and Rigby.

The K9 Unit of the County Detective Bureau has expanded in recent years and a fundraising campaign has begun to allow the unit to function almost entirely by donations.  T-shirts with the “Support the Nose” slogan are available for sale.  Short-sleeve T-shirts are $15.  T-shirts are available at the DA’s Office.  To order, please contact the District Attorney’s Facebook page or email DA@mckeancountypa.org.
