(BRADFORD, Pennsylvania: August 20, 2025): District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer is asking for the public to provide all information they have to assist Police in the investigation into the death of a young boy in Bradford last week. Bradford City Police and the District Attorney’s Office/County Detectives have received tips that are being (or have already been) pursued and she urges that ALL tips be provided to police. The best way to provide tips is by calling the City of Bradford Police at (814) 887-4911 and speaking directly to an officer. Chief Michael Ward and Detective Mark Deluca are the primary investigators on the case. If you have ANY information about this child – including his care, circumstances surrounding his death or injuries, or anything else related to his welfare- you are urged to call. All tips will be followed up on. The investigation is ongoing. Tyler PRESCOTT has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. His bail was set at $1 million. An initial preliminary hearing conference/central court conference scheduled for tomorrow has been continued by the judge to a full preliminary hearing to be held at the courthouse on September 12th. Additional charges are pending the results of the investigation, including the results of the autopsy.
