(MCKEAN COUNTY, Pennsylvania:  July 24, 2025):  District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer announces charges against a Kane man for Solicitation Sexual Abuse of Children (commonly referred to as child pornography) (Felony 3), Attempted Sexual Abuse of Children (Felony 3), and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (Felony 3). 

Jason GORRIE of Kane is charged by Assistant Police Chief Derrick Snyder of Kane Borough Police Department with seeking over a two month period nude images from someone he believed to be a 15 year old female but who, in fact, was a member of an online child predator group called 814PredHunters.

The group provided the information to Asst. Chief Snyder who was able to analyze the materials.  The complaint alleges that Asst. Chief Snyder observed several instances in the records where the decoy related to GORRIE that she was a 15 year old female and several instances where GORRIE was still requesting nude images from the decoy.

GORRIE was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Engman who set bail at $100,000.  He was remanded to the McKean County Jail.  He is scheduled for central court on July 31^st.
