On December 18th, 2020 City of Bradford Police observed the defendant James L. Nitsos walking on Main St. in the City of Bradford. Officers had knowledge Nitsos was a wanted fugitive on the run from Pennsylvania State Parole. Officers attempted to stop Nitsos when he ran from Officers. A foot chase ensued and Nitsos was caught near Elm St. Nitsos was taken into custody for fleeing from Police as he had knowledge of the warrant out for his arrest. Nitsos was then found to be in possession of a substantial amount of Methamphetamine Schedule II and related paraphernalia. Nitsos was arraigned by Magistrate William Todd of Smethport and remanded to McKean County Jail on $20,000 cash bail. Nitsos is also in on a detainer from Pennsylvania State Parole. Prelminary Hearings will be set in this case.
