On 08-01-19 at 0645 hrs, City of Bradford Police along with assistance from the United States Marshal Service executed an arrest warrant at 173 Kennedy St. in the City of Bradford. Officers took into custody Jason R. Girdlestone age 44 for Felony charges related to the sexual assault of a child less than 13 yrs of age. A warrant for Girdlestone had been active since 07-25-19 however Girdlestone intentionally went into hiding when he learned of the Police investigation. Girdlestone was reported to have armed himself with a 30/30 rifle therefore several Officers were utilized to take Girdlestone into custody safely. Officers did take Girdlestone into custody without incident and he was taken before District Justice Dominic Cercone whom remanded him to McKean County Jail with NO bail where he will await preliminary hearing.
