On 01/14/2022 City of Bradford Police investigated an assault on East Main Street of an elderly female. Upon investigation Officers determined that the defendant, Matthew C. Borza , was a passenger in his mother's vehicle when he demanded money from her. Borza's mother denied him money and he began punching her approximately 6 times while she was driving the vehicle causing her pain. The victim pulled into Kwik Fill to call 911 at which time Borza began threatening to kill her for calling the Police.
Officers located Borza walking by the Eagles Club on East Main Street and took him into custody. Borza was charged with Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, and Harassment for assaulting and threatening his own mother. Magistrate Richard Luther arraigned Borza and remanded him to McKean County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.
