The City of Bradford Police Department is currently accepting applications for Police employment. ACT 120 Certification is NOT required to apply. Applicants that do not have prior certifications will be sent to ACT 120 training if selected. Applicants must be 21 years of age to apply.

At approximately 7:55 AM this morning a motor vehicle accident occurred when a 2018 Toyota Rav 4 went through the front windows and into the customer service lobby. There is substantial damage to the building and moderate damage to the vehicle. There were no injuries to the driver or employees of the post office. 

The Police were assisted on scene by the City of Bradford Fire Department and EMS. 

The Post Office is temporarily closed until their maintenance department determines it is safe to resume operations. 


Motorist are encouraged to avoid East Main St between Mill Street  and Kendall Ave. Due to a motor vehicle/utility pole accident. Crews are on scene but  the road will be closed for an extended period of time.


Last evening, the City of Bradford Police Department responded to 2 incidents where items were taken from vehicles parked on the street.  One vehicle was in the School St area and the other on Walker Ave.  Both vehicles were unlocked at the time of the thefts.  Anyone with information about these thefts is encouraged to contact the City of Bradford PD.  The Police Department would also like to remind area residents to make sure your vehicles are locked at all times when not in use.
