K9 Drug Dog at Fretz Middle School

Today, 02/19/20 at approximately 12:30 PM the City of Bradford Police, McKean County Drug Task Force  and Bradford Area School District Administration conducted a drug search at Fretz Middle School.  This search included a K9 sniff search of lockers, restrooms, backpacks and purses.  At this time we are very pleased to report that no drugs were located.

This effort is part of a proactive stand that the City of Bradford Police Department, the McKean County Drug Task Force and Bradford Area School District is taking to ensure safe schools and to stop and/or prevent illegal substances from entering our schools.

In the future we will be doing more searches like this, not only at Fretz Middle School but also at the High School.

To be clear, we will not tolerate drugs in our schools!  This is just the beginning of many proactive steps the City of Bradford Police Department will be taking to prevent these poisons from entering our schools and community.

We at the City of Bradford Police Department would like to thank the McKean County Drug Task Force and Bradford Area School District Superintendent Pude for their assistance and continued efforts to keep illegal substances out of our schools.
