On October 17th, 2018 at approximately 1027 hours officers were dispatched to 125 Congress Street Upper apartment for a reported domestic. The caller reported that they heard fighting and arguing upstairs and they did not believe that anybody should be up there right now because the tenant was out of town. Officers arrived on scene and could hear arguing upstairs. Officers knocked on the door and it was answered by a male who was identified as Keven Curtis. Curtis spoke with one officer while another officer spoke with the victim. She stated that Curtis is her finance and that they live together at 41 Main Street. She stated this location is her mothers house who is out of town and she is house sitting. She stated that Curtis is abusive to her and today he pushed, tripped and shoved her. She also stated that he tried to smother her with a pillow today and began to punch it while it was on her face.
Curtis advised officers that he was physically abusive to the victim, more than he should be. He went on to say that she was in the bathroom and there was a small ledge on the floor and that she was tripping and he grabbed her, trying to stop her from tripping. Curtis then stated, "I grabbed a pillow and put it over her face", in an attempt to keep her quiet, while she was on the floor calling for help. He kept telling her to stop yelling so he stated that he put a pillow over her face to "smother her".
