On 03/24/19, at approximately 0219 hours, officers were approached in the Zippo parking lot on Barbour Street by several individuals stating that another male had just brandished a knife while physically assaulting them, which he then used the knife to cut two individuals he was attempting to assault. The victims who approached officers advised that it was a male was just then walking on the sidewalk near officers and was pointed out by the victims as the offender. Officers started to approach the suspect and when he observed officers he immediately turned around and began fleeing on foot from officers. He ran from Barbour Street towards Mechanic Street. Officers then pursued Buckley from Barbour Street, across Mechanic Street, through two parking lots, and ultimately making the arrest on Pine Street near Boylston Street. Upon arrest we identified the suspect as Ted Buckley.
Upon further investigation, officers learned that Buckley had assaulted three males in total during an unprovoked fight started by Buckley. Two victims suffered lacerations to their hands while another male was struck with a closed fist in the head area. One of the victims was treated at BRMC for his lacerations.
Buckley was arraigned before District Judge Todd and remanded to McKean County Jail on $20,000 bail.
